100 Days!
Today Taylor's class celebrated the 100th day of school. They did lots of fun activities in the afternoon. She missed the first part of the day due to a dentist appointment. She was a trooper and did awesome. I got her to school in time to get a book at the library with the rest of her class and still made it for lunch. I Love This Kid!

Bubbles
Another day down.
Tomorrow starts a new chapter for us. Matt begins his job as a Machinist, so today we went to get him a couple things he needed and then went grocery shopping.
While dinner cooked the kids got a bath.
I'd call it a productive day.
I think 2012 is going to be a good year.

Saturday Breakfast
We took the kids to Dunkin' Donuts this morning for breakfast to pick their own donut.
Taylor picked one with pink icing and one with rainbow sprinkles
Tyson had one with rainbow sprinkles and a star shaped filled with green icing and sprinkles
I chose a Cheddar Cheese Bagel Twist and a French Crueller
Matt got a toasted sandwich and an Apple Fritter
Kids also tried the sausage filled pancake bites
They really enjoyed picking what they wanted and already asked to go again. It was a nice family Saturday. Pizza and game night at Matt's parents house.

Phone Blog
So it didn't work. I tried to post from my phone, but all it would let me do was post a title. So we shall call this "Blog FAIL"

Starfall
Today Taylor asked to play on the starfall website that they get to use at school. She even agreed to do her homework immediately so that I would let her. It is just amazing how much they learn so young. I'm pretty sure she will be one tech saavy kid. I don't trust Tyson to click freely on my computer so he watched Taylor. Then when she was done he stood next to my computer and said "See Mom I'm Big." He nearly broke my heart, but he requires the supervision I couldn't provide today to allow him to play too. Next time I will have her on her reading website reading books first and then games!

Finally....
I finally got the Christmas pics I took uploaded. The kids had a great Christmas and enjoyed every minute of it.

Before the Madness begins. Santa didn't push anything back up under the tree so it looked nice. They were so good at waiting.
Taylor and her barbie. Oh my goodness my baby girl looks so old to me here. Can she stop growing up for just a little bit.

It snowed
So today was the 2nd time I think that we got some snow, but it was not as nice as it could have been. It was Bitter COLD. There was minimal snow, but lots of wind. I think Taylor would have much rather been able to play in it than stand in it waiting for the bus.
----------
It SUCKED standing at the bus stop. She was Freezing!

"Mom It Snowed!"

Looking out the window to see the snow

So then Tonight I asked the kids what they wanted for dinner and Tyson chimed in with his normal response "Pizza" so this is how the conversation went.
Me: What do you want for dinner?
Tyson: Pizza
Me: We don't have any pizza.
Tyson: Well go get some then.
He says the most clever little things and is absolutely fun to listen to.

Moneyball
We just watched Moneyball tonight and it was a great movie. It was nice to watch a baseball movie with REAL players. Such a crazy process and so many numbers involved, but I can see why it was nominated for awards. I recommend it if you haven't seen it yet.
In other news, Matt and I are working on being healthier and had our first weigh-in yesterday. Both of us lost 5 + pounds each. I am hoping to keep on this path and be much healthier this year.
Its supposed to snow tonight so we shall see if we wake up to white stuff on the ground or not. It will be interesting to see if we end up with our first snow day of the year or not. Taylor is excited for it to snow, but weather they have a snow day or not really doesn't matter much to me. I mean its a Thursday, so there will still be school Friday. Now say tomorrow was Friday I'd be all for having a snow day because that would mean a long weekend beings as there is no school Monday.
One more thing...Today was Report Card day for Taylor and I am proud to say she did awesome. She knew 70/70 word wall words and The only things we need to work on are math sentences and reading. Everything else she's doing great. I am very proud of my big girl.

Doggy Human
Huggly thinks he is a Human.
He thinks he needs to sit and sleep on the couch or on any blanket you may be using.
I will have to catch a pic of him sitting on his BUTT with his legs out in front of him sometime. Its absolutely hilarious.
In any case this doggy fits in with our family pretty darn good. Stinky-ness and all.

Lazy Monday
Not much to post today. Lazy Monday after our busy weekend.
Taylor had school today, so it was just me and the boy. We played with his new toys and watched T.V.
Hoping to have something interesting to post tomorrow.
Goodnight!

The End of a Fun Weekend
Sunday marks the end of the weekend. Today was a little more low key than the rest of the weekend.
The guys went to the fishing show to plan their annual Fishing Trip and we hung out with MomMom and Katie while they went.
Tyson was still worn out from his fun birthday weekend that he took a pretty long nap today.
Taylor camped out with MomMom last night.
Then we came home to watch playoff football and the kids played with toys and put Tyson's new Woody and Buzz puzzles together.
Now, almost 7pm its time for baths and bedtime to get ready for the school week. After I repaint Taylor's fingernails for her of course.
Its been a fun weekend and now i'm ready to relax....My photo uploader isn't working at the moment so I can't upload my snaps from today. I'll have to add them later, but needed to get today's post in to keep my streak going.

Happy Birthday Tyson
HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY TYSON
My Favorite Little Boy has come such a long way since the day he was born. He surprised us all coming 3 weeks early. He was a good baby and is growing into such a Big Boy! Here's to the next year being awesome for him. Some things he will get to do now that he's 4 are getting screened for pre-k, possibly playing t-ball if we sign him up (might wait till next year) and getting to play soccer like sissy this fall. He's such a little goofball and talks our ears off. I look forward to watching him grow.
I LOVE YOU BUDDY!!!

Blurry Tyson, but such a cute lil smile. Taylor was thinking of him and his birthday Yesterday when she was at the dentist. She picked out this sticker for him to wear today and left it on the table before she got on the bus so that he would see it when He got up. It says

Dentist
Today was Taylor's day for a dentist appointment. She was due for her exam and cleaning. Its really nice being able to take her to a pediatric dentist. They have all kinds of kid friendly setup and the waiting room provides them entertainment while they wait. I was at the dentist yesterday for two crown fittings and to have a wisdom tooth pulled and I must say it was no where near this fun. I think I should pretend I'm a kid.

Back To School

Last Day of Winter Break
So today was Taylor's last day of her winter break. It's back to school in the morning, so today when I had to watch my nieces for my sister so she could go to her dentist appointment Taylor was excited. This meant she had people to play with. They all had their heads in their DS's and laughed and played games for awhile before running wild in circles around the living room.
Then we had dinner and they left so I could give kids bath and get them to bed.
I think I'm looking forward to being back to our normal routine, but sad that break is over already. Matt also went back to work today.
---------
Jillian, Shelbie and Taylor playing games. Shianne fell asleep to the right of Taylor and Abbi, well you can see she is up to no good about to hit Tyson over the head with her little computer. Its no wonder he doesn't want to play with her. He always says "NOT ABBI"

I don't think anyone but Shelbie knew I was taking a pic. They have a deer in headlights kinda look on their faces.

Gameroom
Today, we organized our gameroom to a more kid friendly area. Long ago this was a garage, but somewhere along the line before we bought this house it was converted. We have always had all of our sports memorabilia in there on the walls and bobbleheads fill the shelves, but I finally decided it was time to quit using it for storage and make it to where the kids could actually play in there. I figure as they grow we can change it to be a place they can hang out with their friends.
----------
This first picture shows from the far end of the room and through that door goes into our dining room.

Shelving has a tote of Taylor's school work from last year and so far this year. My scrapbooking supplies and books, Their coloring books and containers for stickers, construction paper and finished pictures. Top shelf would be wooden puzzles, my scrabble game and a bucket of wooden blocks (basically things with little pieces that they would scatter everywhere without picking up IF they were to get their hands on them). The deck box we use as a toy box. Its full of Tyson's bigger trucks and stuffed animals.

Floor Hockey and Basketball

Toybox full of Kid games and a stack of adult board games (that I need another shelving unit for) and a tote of books.

Finally a useful place for our futon. Then in the corner is the deep freezer (excuse the boxes stacked on top of it. They are all things I still have to go through and most of it is more scrapbooking things....pictures, paper, etc.) Oh and if you were wondering YES those are fishing poles mounted to the ceiling (Keeps them away from kids and like I said before we used it for sports equipment storage)

Tomorrow I tackle the Dining Room. I have some new things I'd like to find a home for.
Happy New Year 2012
